When you live to travel, as we do, then you know a deep truth of travel. It’s when you’re outside of your life, immersed in a strange beauty, that you really form a deep connection with what matters. Yourself.
And that’s what we love about an awesome travel community — Roaming Clan. They get that. While travelling is great, finding the just-right travel companions is better. And being able to be left alone to contemplate when you need that me-time? Well, that’s just perfect.
The Roaming Clan was started by Priyanka. To connect people that are fun and intrepid, who love solo travel, but also see the value in going together — to save money, and to have each other’s back.
“I have worked in IT, run a dance academy, worked in an NGO in Sikkim, taken dance workshops in Spain, I became a school teacher in Himalayas for a short while …[Traveling] helps me in connecting with nature, meeting new people, understanding different cultures and traditions. Traveling has made me more open-minded and more accepting of the world.”
Because, when the right people come together, that’s when magic happens.
“…We also organise regular travel meetups in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore where these travellers can meet and get to know each other personally. To make sure that there are genuine and like-minded people in our network, we screen every individual before adding them to our community. Additionally, we curate experiential group trips for solo travellers every month to various destinations around the world. Every trip has a ‘ME- TIME’ — a free time in which travellers can decide to do things on their own. This is to help our participants understand and develop their own travel style.”
